DHOKLA RECIPE

Sharing easiest Dhokla recipe which you can prepare instantly at home with handful of ingredients. Dhokla is one of the Gujarati cuisine (Indian), it is a light snack and easy to prepare. This recipe is best enjoyed with green chutney (Indian Dip prepared from coriander/cilantro and mint).

Total Time: 30 min.

DHOKLA RECIPE

Ingredients

FOR BATTER
Gram Flour- 1 cup
Salt- 1/2 tsp
Sugar- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
Water
ENO salt- 5 grams (or you can prepare this at home by mixing baking powder and lemon)

FOR SIZZLING
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Green chilies- 4-5
Curry leaf- 4-5
Coriander/cilantro leaf
Lemon juice- 1/2
Salt- 1-1/2 tsp
Sugar- 2-3 tsp
Water- 1 cup

Procedure-

1- In a bowl add Gram Flour- 1 cup, Salt- 1/2 tsp, Sugar- 1/2 tsp and  Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp mix them well by adding water. You have to prepare flowing consistency of the batter, their should be no lumps.
2- Leave it for 10 mins. 
3- Add 5 gm of Eno
4- Pour it in a container/mould, steam cook on medium flame for 20 mins.

5- Now prepare the sizzling by adding 2 tsp of oil, 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 5 green chilies, coriander leaf, curry leaf, 2-3 tsp sugar, 1/2-1 tsp salt, 1 cup water and 1/2 lemon juice in a pan. Cook it for 3-4 mins.
6- Take out the batter and four the sizzling on to it. Garnish it with coriander leaf and coconut flakes.
