CORRECT WAY TO WASH (veggies/ fruits and packed groceries during quarantine )

You must be properly washing your hand, applying mask while going outside for grocery shopping but Do you know, unknowingly you can welcome COVID-19 at your home?

Answer maybe yes, if you do not take proper precaution while washing your fruits, veggies and packed groceries.


Good news is- There’s currently no evidence of food, food containers, or food packaging being associated with transmission of the coronavirus, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Yet, there are still plenty of safety measures to practice as you unpack your next grocery haul. Put below tips to use to keep yourself, and your food, safe while quarantining.

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, according to the CDC. In other words, you’re much more likely to get the coronavirus from being around someone who’s sick than from touching a box of cereal.

“Your risk from going to the grocery store is bigger — much bigger — than your risk from getting it from food,” Don Schaffner, food microbiology professor at Rutgers University told Inquirer reporter Jonathan Lai. 

We have to take all the preventive steps very seriously. After all Prevention is better than cure! 

CORRECT WAY TO WASH


 Here is simple tips,

 1- Wash your hands, face and mask after coming from outside.
2- In a bucket, add 1 liter warm water and 1/4 tbsp of backing soda or 1 tbsp salt, mix them well and rinse each piece you buy in this solution, wash it properly with clean water then air dry.
